SunTrust began providing campus card banking services to the well-known FSUCard program after being awarded the contract by Florida State University in 1996. Last year, SunTrust began providing card program banking services to the University of Central Florida (UCF) when the bank purchased the Florida franchise of the Huntington Bank, thus assuming the UCF business.
