U.S. Bank partners with Ouachita Baptist University's multi-use identification card

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  (Sept. 10, 2003) – Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., has chosen U.S. Bank to be its bank partner for the school’s multi-use identification card.

The identification card already allows Ouachita’s students, faculty and staff members to use laundry facilities, campus libraries, have door and dorm access, and purchase meals without cash. The new card can also be used as a U.S. Bank ATM card on and off campus. The multi-use identification card is not Visa branded, and it can be used at many merchants in the United States who accept PIN based transactions.

“We are excited about this multi-use identification card and having U.S. Bank as our banking partner because of all the opportunities it creates for members of the Ouachita community,” said Richard Stipe, vice president for administration at Ouachita Baptist University. “Students, faculty and staff are finding it to be a convenient and useful tool.”

“It’s great to see Ouachita Baptist University become a leader in the latest technology that helps make campus life easier and more convenient for students, faculty and staff,” said Bill Fowler, president of U.S. Bank in Arkadelphia. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Ouachita.”

Ouachita Baptist University was founded in Arkadelphia in 1886. U.S. News & World Report, in its annual college rankings, placed Ouachita fifth among regional comprehensive colleges and universities in the south. With a student to teacher ratio of 13:1, Ouachita offers courses in eight schools, including the Frank D. Hickingbotham School of Business, the Chesley and Elizabeth Pruet School of Christian Studies, the Bernice Young Jones School of Fine Arts, the J. D.
